I went to a Nursing Event recently. The exhibitors just bombarded and pestered me constantly. I was getting tired of it because I’m in a full time bank job and I’m happy. I saw the Positive Healthcare stand. I was pleasantly surprised that they spoke to me like a human being, they pointed out that I could do some additional hours if my rota allowed it. I never thought of topping up my hours before. He gave me a card and said to call if it was something I was interested in. No pressure, I like that.

I was looking for a new agency having been pushed around and treated poorly by my previous one. I am a nurse of over 20 years and I wanted an agency that respected me and treated me well. I contacted Positive Healthcare to find out how their registration process worked. I spoke to somebody who informed me that not only did they have a branch in London but that they were having an open day that I could attend. I did and have never looked back.

Registering with a new agency is a long and tedious process. Or so I thought. I was looking to change agencies but I didn’t want to go through the process again. My friend told me about Positive Healthcare. I called them and after speaking with one of the consultants I decided to attend their open day in Doncaster. The team did not gloss over the registration process and said it was thorough but in a way it put my mind at ease as they explained that the process was to safeguard me and my patients.
