​Are you a Clinical Psychologist looking for a new locum role working with Adults with Intellectual Disabilities?

Positive Healthcare have a great opportunity for a Locum Clinical Psychologist in Nottinghamshire, to provide a clinical psychology service to Adults with Intellectual Disabilities and multiple diagnoses / complex presentations (e.g. trauma, attachment difficulties, ASD, personality disorder) including diagnostic assessment, neuropsychological assessment, psychological interventions, consultation, research and service evaluation.

Hours of Work / Contract Duration:

·         Flexible

·         Up to 37.5 hours per week

·         6 – 12 months contract from start date

Rate of Pay:

·         Band 7, 8a or 8b depending on experience (Manager’s discretion)

Job Requirements

·         Clinical Psychology Doctorate

·         Valid HCPC Registration

·         At least 2 years’ experience working to support those with intellectual disabilities. It is essential that the successful candidate has their own transport for this role. This post requires the ability to work in a wide variety of contexts, with people who have a wide range of communication styles, and a wide range of psychological and other needs.Working environments include residential units and day services where people can be physically challenging. The work also requires the post-holder to take responsibility for vulnerable people in situations where other staff are not nearby; and to act appropriately and responsibly to minimise risk while providing 1:1 therapies in clinics and in clients’ homes.
