Would you like the opportunity to join an evolving community team who are working to improve the experience of people who have had a stroke in Preston?

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Physiotherapist who would like to continue to develop their specialist knowledge and skills in the area of stroke recovery. We have been given the opportunity to develop our stroke team to expand our criteria and support patients with a complex level of impairment for a 12 week period of rehabilitation.

This post is based within the community stroke rehabilitation team but may also provide input to other parts of the wider neurological rehabilitation service if required. The Community Stroke Rehabilitation Team comprises of occupational therapists, physiotherapists, speech and language therapists, dietitians, technical instructors, a nurse, rehabilitation assistants and a psychologist.

We are looking for a dynamic Physiotherapist who is a passionate about quality patient care and has excellent communication skills; you must also have relevant clinical experience including working within a multi-disciplinary team. The role involves providing holistic assessments as well as physiotherapy assessments and interventions.

We work closely with other members of the MDT to provide time limited, goal focused and patient-centred care. The role also involves working closely with other services such as the Neighbourhood Teams, housing, education, leisure, voluntary services and Adult Social Care.
