​Positive Mental Health are working closely with a private healthcare company in the North West

We are seeking an HCPC registered Practitioner Psychologist who has experience working with individuals with neurodevelopmental conditions and working within Autism and/or ADHD services.   You will be a qualified clinical/counselling psychologist who is passionate about supporting neuro-divergent individuals. The post is for a 12-month period covering maternity leave (with the potential to become permanent). Flexibility can be offered around remote working and working hours.

Essential Experience:

• Experience working with Autistic adults and/or children.

• The ability to develop formulations identifying areas of strengths and needs, with an understanding of how mental health difficulties and neurodevelopmental conditions interact with each other.

• Experience carrying out assessments for Autism (for example: initial screening assessments).

• Experience delivering clinical supervision.

• Experience delivering ND informed psychological therapy.

• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage and prioritise own workload.

 Desirable Experience:

• Experience carrying out ADOS/ADIR/3di assessments.

• Experience working with individuals who have learning disabilities.

• Experience working with individuals who have ADHD.

• A specialist level of experience delivering psychological therapy to neuro-divergent clients.

• Additional training in evidence-based therapies, for example, EMDR, CBT, CFT, DBT.
